Kaveh Sheibani is the founding director of ORLab Analytics. He holds a PhD in Operational Research from London Metropolitan University, UK. Dr. Sheibani has previously held positions as a research assistant professor at Iran Telecommunication Research Center (ITRC), and an adjunct assistant professor at Shahid Beheshti University, Iran. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral researcher on radiotherapy planning and scheduling in the National Health Service (NHS) at Coventry University, UK; and a scientific programmer at the Infectious Disease Epidemiology Unit of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, UK. Kaveh is the founder and chief organizer of the series of International Conferences on Applied Operational Research (ICAOR); and the founding editor-in-chief of the Journal of Applied Operational Research (JAOR), Lecture Notes in Management Science (LNMS), and ORMS Letters (ORMSL). He has refereed, reviewed, edited or co-edited over 500 scholarly articles in the field of operational research and management science (OR/MS). His research focus has resulted in several refereed publications such as Journal of the Operational Research Society (JORS) and a number of conference proceedings. In 2008, he received an alumni achievement award from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST). His main research interests lie in exploring search methodologies for hard combinatorial optimisation problems and their efficiency across a wide variety of applications.
