Abstract

This paper explains what service is, how service performance can be evaluated and what problems one may encounter during the evaluation process. In this study, we touch upon the different tools used to improve performance evaluation such as the analytic hierarchy process, multi-criteria decision making and analytic hierarchical performance model. Also we apply performance evaluations to hospitals and look at performance management and service systems in the healthcare sector.
